These plans are designed for those who have both Medicare & Medicaid. They can coordinate care between these 2 very uncoordinated entities. This is typically a very underserved demographic. These plans commonly provide much needed additional benefits for healthy foods, transportation & help with utilities at no additional cost.
These plans do not include prescription drug coverage but often include a Part B giveback, dental, vision hearing & over-the-counter benefits. They are designed to complement Veterans & Federal retirees’ existing coverage. They can also provide health care to those who don’t want drug coverage.
Supplements literally supplement Original Medicare. They protect you from unpredictable out-of-pocket expenses. Since Original Medicare does not include drugs, dental, vision, or hearing, supplements also do not include them.
